Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license (valid at least until the date of the examination) or PRC equivalent for foreign graduates (electronic copy)
a. For Candidates Who Graduated Prior to October 1, 2025: Proof of residency training completion must be a certified true copy of the Residency Training Diploma. The minimum required signatories include three officials: the Chair and the Training Officer of the Department of Internal Medicine, and the Medical Director of the hospital. The certified true copy must display the inclusive dates of completed training, be issued by the authorized office, bear the institution’s dry seal, and be signed by the designated officer of the training center.
b. For candidates graduating between October 1, 2025, and January 31, 2026:, Candidates planning to take the PSBIM Examination on March 1, 2026, but whose diploma might not be available by the January 15, 2026, document submission deadline, can instead submit a certification letter and must display the inclusive dates of completed training. This letter must verify that the candidate has completed or will complete residency training in internal medicine by January 31, 2026. The minimum required signatories include three officials: the chair and training officer of the Department of Internal Medicine, along with one administrative signature (either the medical director, chief of clinics, or the chair of the Department of Medical Education and Training).
c. Candidates who transferred residency training between PCP-accredited institutions must submit the following: a Diploma of completion of the residency training program; a certification letter from the previous institution confirming satisfactory completion of a specific year level, which must include the institution’s dry seal, inclusive dates of completed training, signatures of the Department Chair, Training Officer, and Medical Director, and proof of receipt by both the original and receiving institutions. In cases of multiple transfers, separate certified true copies of each certification are required. The Residency Training Diploma must be submitted when applying for the Diplomate oath-taking within the same year.
c. For Candidates Who Completed a DOH Post-Deployment Residency Program: Candidates who completed a two-year Department of Health (DOH) Post-Deployment Residency Program are required to submit a certificate of completion, duly signed by the Secretary of the DOH.

Proof of payment of examination fee and other monetary obligation (Annual Dues).
They must have valid temporary permits to practice (TPP) yearly issued and renewed by the PRC.
May be referred to another institution by the PSBIM to undergo evaluation of clinical competence, OR can ask for an endorsement letter from the chair of a training institution or PCP chapter president in the area where he/she is practicing. The endorsement letter must confirm the competent practice of the candidate. The endorsement letter will take the place of the clinical competence evaluation.

Certificate of good moral character from the Training Institution of origin.
Diploma of the Degree of Doctor of Medicine.
Copy of PRC ID.
Must secure an endorsement from the Chair, the Training Officer and the Medical Director where his/her training was obtained. Candidates who have been previously endorsed by their respective training institution and have taken at least 1 PSBIM examination may signify their intent to take the PSBIM by submitting a letter of intent addressed to the PSBIM Chair, noted by the Department Training Officer and Department Chair. .
